Who knew that there was such a fun and engaging music experience for kids and parents in Greencastle?
I honestly had no idea what the Growing with Music classes were until my assistant found their information on Facebook. While visiting the Growing with Music website and seeing all the wonderful reviews from other families, I KNEW I had to try out a class for myself! I had never been to a mommy and me music class before and was unsure what exactly to expect from the experience. Upon walking in I was warmly greeted by Tracy and the rest of the attendees. After the introduction song (which was super cute), it was time to move on to the music!
We started off with echoing sounds and syllables which worked on our projection, linguistic, and enunciation skills! Everyone loved the songs and rhymes and were able to try and repeat them into the microphone!
So I have to admit, I was having too much fun and forgot to get a picture of our music circle, but trust me it was awesome! We got to walk with our kids and sing an upbeat song with dance moves. All children were welcomed to play and learn at their own pace, so I had a pretty easy time getting my kids to be really interested and into it! My youngest has "stranger danger" issues and doesn't like to be thrown into a new place with new people, so I honestly figured he would scream the entire class. I kid you not, within minutes Hunter was smiling and enjoying being in class because it was such an engaging experience! We played "peek-a-boo" with our colored scarves and sang together which was my middle son Connor's favorite part! He was really engaged with the activity and loved helping gather all the scarves afterward. And don't forget the drum circle, making rhythm with wooden sicks, and the musical rhymes! We honestly loved the class!!!

My kids, husband, and I had a blast and am so looking forward to returning for events! Speaking of events...
