Preschool Playtime at the Wilson School of Gymnastics and Cheer!

If you have never been to preschool playtime at Wilson, you absolutely must go! I actually had no idea that this hidden gem offered such a great opportunity for the younger kids to be active and play while the older ones were in school. For an hour on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday mornings (excluding summer), Wilson offers open gym-like classes for preschoolers! I honestly had no idea what to expect, but from recommendations from my assistant, I was so happy that I went! Our kids had a blast! From the springy floor (great for arthritis I've found lol) to the gym activities like a tumble track, climbing areas, balls and play pillows, and much more! We were there for the entire hour and we couldn't rip our kids away when it was over! We all had a blast and could tell that the staff genuinely loved their job and enjoyed working with kids, and that's super important for any parent to feel! The drop -in rate for the playtime is only $3/child with the Macaroni Kid discount (valid until Nov. 30 2018)! Wilson School of Gymnastics and Cheer was founded over 30 years ago, and has dedicated that time to enriching children on a deeper level. I met with "Lefty" who now owns Wilson, and asked her a little about why she wanted to get started in this business. She answered that the reason was that she wanted children to be able to find a place where they can have fun and learn at their own pace without judgement or harsh critique. Since all children are interested and motivated by different things, Wilson is determined to help each child learn and grow at a level that works each for the individual. There are no "cookie cutter" kids, and Wilson shows that there doesn't have to be one way to teach either. The staff I met were all very friendly and nice to the kids and to myself. As parents, we all walk into a facility where we want to feel as though our children will be welcomed and accepted, and that's exactly how I felt at Wilson. The class is truly engaging for little ones, and I highly recommend taking your toddler or preschooler here to burn off some energy, and have fun all at once!
