First Start Partnerships offers so much to Franklin County Families!

First Start Partnerships, formerly Franklin County Head Start, has been serving the needs of Franklin County families since it's opening in 1965. It's more than a preschool by actually connecting community members to needed services through referrals and the distribution of information. Some other information First Start can refer you for:

  • Employment/Training
  • Financial Assistance
  • Housing
  • Health
  • Transportation
  • ESL
  • and more!

Of course, First Start is also a preschool that is based on a solid and scientifically based curriculum that is guaranteed to get your preschooler ready for Kindergarten!  With locations throughout Franklin County, there are many ways to find a local Head Start Program. Here is a list of school districts in Franklin County that have a Head Start Program available are Chambersburg, Waynesboro, Greencastle, St. Thomas, Willow Hill, and Mercersburg. First Start is a totally free program that is based on income and other determining factors. This is a wonderful program designed to prepare your student for success throughout early childhood and life! The age for head start is 3 to 5!

There are programs available for children under 3 in the Waynesboro School District only at this time under Early Head Start programs.
